Description
A two-sided bucket hat made to order for clubs, sponsors and fan-merchandise programmes. Both faces are printed and finished to the same standard, so the hat can be worn either way round: a dense twill face for everyday wear, and a lighter pongee face with an all-over print when you want the artwork to do the talking.
Made to your artwork
Every hat is produced from your own artwork. The all-over print is applied to both faces during production, so the second side carries a full design rather than a plain lining, and colours are matched to Pantone references at the print stage. Chin straps and adjustable cords are made to the same order.
Construction and fabric
The standard build is polyester: twill on the outside for body and shape, and a lighter pongee on the inside so the hat folds down cleanly when it is turned inside out. Cotton, poly-cotton and nylon are available if you want a different hand-feel or a natural-fibre option, and we quote those builds against your artwork.
Decoration options
All-over print works on both faces and suits a reversible hat best, because it covers the crown and the brim edge to edge. Embroidery and silk screen are available for crests and flat logos. On cotton, all-over print is done by digital print and starts at 500 pcs, as the fabric has to be pre-treated before printing; on polyester there is no minimum beyond the standard 200 pcs.
Colours
Colourways come from our stock fabric range, which keeps small and mid-sized runs free of a dyeing lead time. Custom dyeing is available as well: one dye lot is around 2,000 metres of fabric, so it suits season-long programmes and full-range rollouts rather than one-off orders.
Typical uses
Matchday giveaways · Season-ticket holder gifts · Sponsor activations · Membership packs · Beach and travel retail
Common questions
How does the two-sided construction work?
The hat is made from two printed faces sewn together with no plain lining between them, so it can be turned inside out and worn either way. Both faces are finished to the same standard, including the brim edge.
Can the two faces carry different colours or designs?
Yes. A second colourway on the reverse is the most common request: the club colour on one face and a neutral, a secondary colour or a dark all-over print on the other. In the club and sponsor work we handle, the club crest and the sponsor mark normally sit on the same face rather than one on each side.
What fabrics are used on each face?
The standard build is polyester twill on the outside and a lighter pongee on the inside, which gives the hat body when worn one way and a softer drape when worn the other. Alternative fabrics, including cotton, are quoted case by case.
Can you make it in cotton?
Yes. A cotton reversible hat is possible, and the decoration on it is embroidery or silk screen. If you need an all-over print on cotton, the fabric is pre-treated and the run starts at 500 pcs.
Will the print crack or peel?
The all-over print is dyed into the fabric rather than sitting on top of it as a film, so it stays with the cloth when the hat is turned inside out, folded into a bag or worn through a whole season.
What about testing for European and US buyers?
Our materials are covered by EN71 and CPSIA test reports, and our material suppliers meet REACH, azo and phthalate requirements. Tell us the standard you need before the order is placed and we will make to it; reports are issued on request. We also hold GRS certification, so recycled-content builds can be quoted when a buyer needs them.
